John Sweet - Vice President, Client Relationship Management and
Sales
John Sweet has 14 years of sales, business development, and project
management experience. For AT&T and Bell Atlantic Data Solutions,
he served as a senior business-to-business sales executive selling
data, voice and network solutions. John later served as a sales
executive for CareerBuilder and exceeded his quota before and after
the company’s initial public offering (IPO). He subsequently
joined Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as a project manager supporting
a satellite-based distance learning installation project for a
federal agency. He later joined EDS’s business development
team focused on Federal and State and Local sales support. During
this time, he was a contributing team member who supported many
winning proposals. Next, John served as a project manager for the
EDS Mentor-Protégé program where he was responsible
for managing all aspects of Department of Defense (DoD) contracts
to deliver mentoring support on behalf of EDS to small businesses.
John was present for HP’s acquisition of EDS in 2008. It
was this stage of his career that gave John a passion for small
businesses and an understanding of challenges they face, particularly
from an IT infrastructure support perspective.
In his free time, John enjoys playing acoustic guitar, golf, boating,
hiking and spending time with his wife, daughterand new son.
He and his wife Angela have been the worship leaders at their church
since 1997. John proudly completed the US Marine Corp Marathon
in 2010.
