Technology Specialist - Level 1 - Entry Level - 0-5 yrs experience

The Technology Specialist is a broadly versed professional that is a great problem solver. The Technology Specialist is able to work alone and rarely needs assistance as he is self-driven to solve problems. He is the guy who likes to save the day and be the go-to guy in difficult situations. Technology Specialists are the front line representatives of OSOM and should be respectful, honest, patient and detail oriented with excellent communication skills. OSOM Solutions is based on a reputation of superior customer service, depth of experience and knowledge and professionalism. The Technology Specialist is the most valuable of positions in creating this outstanding experience. OSOM has long been known as a customer service company of outstanding technology professionals.

The Technology Specialist can handle most any technology and will have or gain the experience to understand all facets of the IT infrastructure to manage. They will be expected to exercise their knowledge in the following areas:

· Windows workstations: 2000, XP Pro, Vista, Mac and Linux preferably
· Windows Servers: 2000, 2003, Active Directory and Domains, DNS, Files and File Security
· Networking: Routers, Ethernet, Switches, wiring, wireless and wireless security, TCP/IP (IPv4 and IPv6), VLANs, QoS
· Security: Firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPNs (IPSEC and SSL), Security Policy, Virus Removal, Registry entries and editing
· Internet: DNS, mail, web and standard TCP and UDP port usage
· Computers: General hardware repair and optimization skills
· Telecom: Circuits, PBX and VoIP

The Technology Specialist must have a good driving record, be drug free and take personal pride in your work. We don’t do great, only OSOM!
